Sama

Sama was born from a formal challenge: to design a powerful armchair using only the circle as its language. The result is an architectural, imposing piece that draws the eye with the force of a black hole. This effect is deliberately accentuated by the black paint, which erases the grain to reveal only pure geometry.

The execution was technically demanding: the curved shapes and compound angles inherent in assembling circular volumes defied conventional woodworking, requiring several prototyping cycles before a viable manufacturing method was achieved.

Sama is part of an extended formal exploration centered around the circle, of which Sabanan is the natural continuation.
