Tanyè
Tanyè embodies perseverance, that silent force that drives us forward despite obstacles. Its three legs tell this story directly: the first hesitates, the second insists, the third triumphs by breaking through the surface. Each attempt is legible, each failure becomes a visible step towards success. The piece invites us to see the beauty of the process as much as that of the result.
Designed and unveiled for the Dakar 2024 Biennale of Contemporary African Art, Tanyè belongs to a series of pieces conceived as physical metaphors for abstract concepts, an approach that engages design beyond function, into the realm of narrative.
